Imagine tobacco with no flavor..just strong and really unpleasant. In the end, the only change is that the flavoring is more prominent. The virginia tobacco is in front, the rum based topping is high sugar and makes that lovely candied flake we all enjoy. Rather, the Kentucky is a bit temperamental and can be over-puffed to the point of extreme bitterness. Just enough to make the aroma very nice. Once lit this translates well in to the taste, a deep earthy taste with prominent strokes of wet leather and a pepperish tingle on the tongue. All that said, I'm not a big Lakeland fan. Although my fav is Balkan Supreme, this really surprised me. I don't get it. It is a Va flake and if you don't smoke it as such it will nip.
